wandered through the whispers of winter's silence
without a voice to guide
the zeroth degree
like ice, it remains still
but its breath is warm
in every moment
till it falls below
into the night
where we can see no reflection
only a shadow
and the sound of rain
whispering softly in my bones
like a whisper, but without words
as though the world itself is silent
beneath its soft embrace
till it falls again, like snow
in every mountain as we rise
and fall, with each cycle
of day and night
making me laugh, I'm still here
the rain is quiet in my bones
till it falls again
in the quiet silence of the night
during which I am alone
when the world has fallen silent
i am left alone
and watch, with fear and awe
saw the fall of snow
melted into the earth
which never sleeps
beneath its soft embrace
till it falls again
in every mountain as we rise
and fall, with each cycle
of day and night
making me laugh, I'm still here
